Nutwood is now CLOSED for the 2020 nut picking season.

With much sadness, we’ve decided to shut Nutwood to the public for the remainder of the 2020 season in the interests of community health and in line with escalating government shut downs.

The message from health officials, doctors and governments is clear: we all need to stay at home and not risk the further spread of coronavirus.

So please, accept our apologies – stay home and safe with your loved ones at this mind numbing time for everyone.

If you cannot do without your fresh chestnuts and walnuts, please message us and we’ll arrange an online order. We have collection points with Eddy at Bilpin, and also in Sydney – or we can try and arrange to deliver them in a safe manner.

For orders, please see our Facebook page (Nutwood Farm) and Instagram account @nutwoodfarm and contact us there.

With best wishes to you, your family and friends, and we very much hope that the world may soon right itself.

Nutwood will next open to the general public in March & April 2021.
During the annual nut harvest season (mid March to late April), we open on weekends only from 9am to 4pm. We are also open over all four days of Easter (Good Friday April 10 to Easter Monday April 13 inclusive).

Free on-site parking is available and nuts are priced at $10 per kilo.

We will post here when we are closing or have run out of nuts (usually not long after Easter).

Chestnuts will be ready from mid-March – Walnuts from late March.

We look forward to seeing you in 2021

Please take time to read this page – and be sure you arrive with a full tank of petrol and cash (there are no credit card facilities). We are quite remote, at least 40 minutes’ drive, from petrol stations, shops, medical care and banking facilities.

Please also be aware you must observe safety rules at all times on Nutwood Farm – drive slowly on the property (under 20km/hour); watch out for pedestrians at all times; do not climb the trees or strike them. Your safety is your responsibility when on the farm.

** Please take all of your rubbish home with you – rubbish disposal in the Blue Mountains is very limited at this busy time of the year. Do the right thing and dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully at home.**

We look forward to seeing you for a great day of fresh air and fun at Nutwood Farm. Come visit us soon!

Best wishes,

The team at Nutwood Farm
