Welcome to Nutwood Farm
Nutwood Farm is a chestnut and walnut farm at Mount Irvine in the Blue Mountains.
We have about 220 trees (mainly chestnut trees, with some walnut trees) on a picturesque 50 acre property.
During the nut-picking season, we open our farmgate and invite you to enjoy this special farm experience with family and friends. Entry is free and there is no need to book. Nuts are $11 a kilo.
We are open for five to six weekends during March and April each year.
Nutwood Farm is closing for the season on 2 April 2026
Our weekend opening hours may vary during the season, which usually runs from early/mid March to mid/late April.
Saturday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
Sunday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
Over Easter, we are also usually open on Good Friday and Easter Monday (not in 2026).
The nutpicking season at Mt Irvine is closing early this year.
Council has just announced that Mount Wilson Road will be closed to general traffic from 8am, Friday 3 April 2026 until further notice. Details are here https://www.bmcc.nsw.gov.au/mount-wilson-road-mount-wilson
We are sorry we won't be open for the Easter long weekend and to our visitors who had plans to visit Nutwood Farm this season.
We are opening Nutwood Farm for additional days on Wednesday 1 April and Thursday 2 April, 9.00am to 4.00pm. These are the last days we will be open for the 2026 harvest season. Please phone (0411 174 184) or email (contact@nutwoodfarm.com.au) ahead to let us know you are coming.
We are also working on alternative ways of supplying Mount Irvine chestnuts and walnuts and will let you know where you can purchase them.
