About us

Nutwood Farm has been operating as a nut farm for over 40 years. It first opened to the public for the harvest season in 1998.

Beverley and Ken Carruthers, the farm’s previous owners, began planting the nut trees in the 1980s. Caring for the nut orchard of around 220 chestnut and walnut trees was a labour of love for Beverley, and her great passion as a horticulturalist.

In 2025, Beverley handed over Nutwood Farm to its new owners, Peter Harris and Catherine King, who are continuing the nut-picking tradition and its legacy of providing a fun farmgate experience for visitors to the Blue Mountains.

Peter and Catherine both grew up in country NSW – Peter hails from a farming family. They are delighted to be the new owners of Nutwood Farm and look forward to welcoming you for nut-picking season.

Nutwood Farm is a perfect place to pick farm fresh produce and create memories with family and friends.
